特异性 14-3-3 sigma Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous level of total 14-3-3 sigma.
背景 The 14-3-3σ (sigma) protein, a negative regulator of the cell cycle, is a human mammary epithelium-specific marker. 14-3-3σ is a p53-inducible gene product involved in cell cycle checkpoint control after DNA damage. 14-3-3σ gene is not expressed in most breast cancers (9), gastric cancer (37), or hepatocellular carcinoma. Since 14-3-3σ is regulated by p53 to guard genomic stability and is required to prevent mitotic catastrophe in response to DNA damage, dysregulation of 14-3-3σ may account for some of the cancers that do not have p53 mutations. 14-3-3σ also interacts with CDKs and can inhibit CDK activities to block cell cycle progression. Overexpression of 14-3-3σ also inhibits cell proliferation and prevents anchorage-independent growth of breast cancer cell lines.
